Le Basilic. French contemporary cuisine in a more modern setting. The menu will often reflect the season with dishes using chantrelle or morel mushrooms. A sample menu offers such dishes as Coquilles St Jacques, Pave de Boeuf aux 5 Poivres, Salmon with Sesame or Cotellette de Biche (Venison). Also offers a children's menu (up to 10 years of age). Excellent fish dishes.
La Couz'na. Just behind the Bellevue cable car this bar/ restaurant serves traditional Savoyarde dishes of raclette and fondu, plus steaks, salads and pizza. Try the chicken gizzard salad - it's quite tasty! La Christiana. Predominantly a bar but also has a good snack menu of steak or omelette and chips, pizza, toasted or normal sandwiches, salads, croute en fromage etc. Le Creposuare. A creperie and salon de the (tea room) serving crepes and galettes (i.e. sweet and savoury pancakes), salads, ice cream and other desserts. Also offers a children's menu (up to 10 years of age). 600 metres away, turning right out of Chalet Whymper:
Le Delice. A restaurant and tapas bar owned by an English couple. They cater well for vegetarians which is very unusual in France! As well as a blackboard with daily specials sample starters on their menu are garlic bread, plate of antipasto, aubergine and goat's cheese roll or beef on a skewer. For main dish examples are rump steak with wine and rosemary jus, chicken wrapped in herbs and ham, duck breast with sweet and sour ginger sauce or cheese fritters with bubble and squeak. They also have a children's menu.
